This straight adapter carries an AN12 37-degree male flare and an M22*1.5 male metric thread. M22*1.5 is among the larger common metric threads, encountered on oil cooler housings, filter mounts, gearbox and sump bosses, and heavy-duty pump castings. Running it to -12 AN hose gives a large, low-restriction, fully serviceable connection in place of crimped factory plumbing. It suits oil cooler feeds, dry sump lines and high-volume transfer duties. Note that the -12 AN flare rather than the M22 thread determines the effective bore. Seal the metric end with the correct washer or O-ring for the port, and leave the AN flare clean, dry and correctly torqued.
