This straight adapter joins an AN6 37-degree male flare to a 1/2″ NPT male pipe thread. The 1/2″ pipe port is comfortably larger than the -6 AN flare, so the AN side sets the effective bore; that suits situations where a component was tapped generously but the circuit itself only needs -6 hose, such as a pump or filter body feeding a modest fuel line, or a cooler port carrying a small oil circuit. The tapered NPT thread seals by interference and requires a fluid-compatible sealant or PTFE tape, applied a thread back from the leading edge. The 37-degree AN flare seals on metal contact alone and must be fitted dry.
