A male-to-male reducer stepping AN10 down to AN6, both ends carrying the standard 37-degree AN flare. Skipping two sizes in a single fitting is useful when a large supply or return line has to terminate at a considerably smaller component port, saving you from chaining two reducers together. Be deliberate about it though: a sharp step from AN10 to AN6 concentrates restriction at that point, so it is better placed at the end of a run than in the middle of a high-flow section. Both ends being male, it mates to female swivel hose ends or female couplers. Flare joints seal on the cone, so no sealant or tape is needed.
