An alloy banjo bolt with a 1/2-20 imperial thread and a 22mm length. It carries fluid through its own hollow centre while clamping a banjo fitting flat against the port, which is what lets the hose end swivel to whatever angle the routing demands and then lock in place. The 1/2-20 thread is common on American-pattern fuel and oil components, including carburettor inlets and pressure ports. The 22mm length suits a single banjo eye with a washer on each side; stacked or thicker banjos need a longer bolt. Fit new crush washers each time, and torque an alloy bolt by feel rather than to a steel bolt’s figures.
