This is the extended-body version of the straight AN8 cutter style hose end. The longer nipple pushes the hose attachment point further out from the mating thread, which matters when the port sits in a recess, behind a bracket, or alongside other fittings that would otherwise foul the socket or leave no room for a spanner. Everything else works as standard: the cutter slices into the hose liner as the socket draws up, locking the assembly mechanically. Typical AN8 duties are main fuel feeds, oil cooler runs and power steering lines. Designed for rubber-lined braided hose rather than PTFE. Check your available clearance before choosing long over standard.
