Use the straight body wherever the hose can run in line with the port, since it adds the least length and the fewest turns to the circuit. Hose is noticeably stiffer at this size, so plan the route before assembly rather than forcing it into place afterwards. Match the hose to the fluid you are running and seat it fully before pressurising the line.
