A 45° hose end in AN4 for PTFE-lined braided hose. PTFE hose ends seal differently to rubber types: an olive or ferrule is pushed onto the PTFE liner and compressed by the socket nut, forming the seal on the liner itself. The 45° body gives a gentle change of direction — often the better choice than a 90° where the hose has room to sweep, since it keeps the bend radius generous and flow smoother. AN4 typically carries turbo oil feeds, brake and clutch lines and gauge or sender plumbing. Ensure no stainless braid is trapped under the olive, or the joint will not seal.
