A one-piece cutter-style hose end in AN12 with a full 180-degree bend. Socket and nipple form a single assembly, so a hose is built by cutting the braid square, seating it fully on the nipple and tightening the socket to swage the joint. At AN12 a 180-degree fitting is often the only workable way to send a line straight back on itself, since hose this large has a big minimum bend radius and would kink and restrict long before achieving that loop. AN12 handles dry sump scavenge, high-volume oil plumbing, breather and vent lines and large fuel runs where flow must stay unrestricted.
