AN12 PTFE hose with a nylon braided outer cover. AN12 is used for dry sump scavenge and pressure lines, large oil cooler runs and fuel returns where restriction must be kept low. The PTFE liner is unaffected by hot oil, petrol and alcohol-blended fuels and does not permeate vapour or harden with age. Choosing the nylon cover over stainless saves meaningful weight on a large hose and makes long runs easier to handle and route, while protecting whatever the line rests against. Nylon-covered hose is a good fit for tidy, weight-conscious builds. Use AN12 hose ends made specifically for nylon-covered PTFE hose.
