Use the straight body wherever the hose can run in line with the port, since it adds the least length and the fewest turns to the circuit. Gravity-fed lines such as turbo drains benefit from the extra bore, since drainage depends on volume rather than pressure. Push-on assemblies suit low-pressure lines, so keep them off pumped brake or clutch circuits.
