An AN12 45° hose end for PTFE-lined braided hose, aimed at high-volume plumbing — large fuel feed and return, surge tank and swirl pot connections, and sizeable oil cooler circuits. At AN12 the hose is heavy and stiff, so the 45° body is often the only realistic way to change direction without exceeding the bend radius or straining the joint. Sealing is achieved by an olive compressed onto the PTFE liner by the socket nut rather than by clamping the hose cover. Take extra care easing the braid back at this size, and verify the liner is fully seated against the olive shoulder before tightening.
