This adapter puts an AN6 male 37° flare on one end and a Ø9.4 hose barb on the other, so a plain push-on rubber hose can join an AN-plumbed line. It is the usual answer where part of a circuit does not justify braided hose — a fuel tank breather, a coolant or overflow line, a low-pressure return, a washer or catch-can run, or the transition from an AN feed to an OE-style rubber hose already on the vehicle. The barb end relies on a hose clamp for its seal and is intended for low-pressure duty; the AN flare end seals on the cone and needs no sealant. Fit hose that genuinely suits the Ø9.4 barb rather than stretching an undersized one on, and use a proper worm-drive or fuel-injection clamp seated behind the barb ridge.
