This inverted seat adapter mates an AN6 37-degree flare to a 7/16 x 24 inverted flare thread. The 7/16-24 inverted flare is one of the most common original-equipment hard line threads, widely used on brake and fuel lines, and its seat is not compatible with an AN flare, so a dedicated adapter is required. Fitted at the end of a factory hard line, it lets you continue the run in -6 AN braided hose rather than reflaring or replacing the original tube. Both seats seal on metal-to-metal contact when correctly torqued, so no sealant or tape should be used, and the seat faces must be clean and undamaged.
