Tapping a sensor here means you read the fluid where it actually flows rather than at a remote dead leg, which matters for oil temperature especially. The AN ends use the usual 37-degree flare and swivel to let you position the sender sensibly. Take care with spanner access on larger fittings and hold the hex on the body when torquing the sender home.
