A same-size straight adapter carrying an AN8 male 37-degree flare on the hose side and an AN8 male O-ring port thread on the component side. AN8 is the usual choice once fuel demand climbs beyond what AN6 comfortably supports, and it is also common on oil cooler, transmission cooler and remote filter plumbing. The port seals by compressing its O-ring against the face of the boss, so the threads only hold the joint mechanically; that means no sealant, easier removal and no risk of cracking an alloy housing through over-tightening. Verify the port is a straight-thread O-ring boss rather than tapered pipe thread before fitting.
