M10 x 1.0 is a fine-pitch metric thread found on smaller metric ports – gauge and sender takeoffs, turbo oil feed banjo bosses and various Japanese and European fittings. Pairing it with AN8 means the metric port is the limiting bore, so this adapter is best where you want an AN8 hose and end fitting for consistency across the build rather than for maximum flow through that specific port. The AN8 side seals dry on its 37-degree cone. Because M10 x 1.0 is a straight metric thread rather than a taper, the seal is made at the port face or seat, not by the threads – so do not pack it with tape. Check that your port matches the 1.0 mm pitch before ordering, as M10 x 1.25 is also common and will not fit.
