A straight AN8 to M14 x 1.5 adapter. M14 x 1.5 is a step up from the small sender-sized metric threads and is commonly found on sump plugs and drain bosses, oil cooler and filter housing ports, and larger fuel system fittings on metric-built engines. At this size the port is a reasonable match for AN8 flow, which makes it a practical way to run braided AN8 hose off a factory metric component without adapting twice. The AN8 end seals on its 37-degree flare cone, dry. The M14 x 1.5 end is a parallel thread that seals at the seat or face, not on the threads, so leave the PTFE tape in the drawer. Always confirm the pitch of your port first – M14 also appears in 1.25 and 2.0 mm pitches on some applications.
