A straight AN8 to M16 x 1.5 adapter. M16 x 1.5 sits in the larger end of common automotive metric threads and turns up on oil cooler take-off plates, sandwich adaptors, gearbox and diff drain bosses, and heavier fuel and hydraulic fittings on European machinery. Because the port is generously sized relative to AN8, flow through the joint is not the constraint here – the value is being able to run a standard AN8 hose end off a metric component without a stack of intermediate adapters. The AN8 side seals dry on its 37-degree flare. The M16 x 1.5 side is a parallel metric thread and seals at the seat or port face rather than on the thread flanks, so no tape or pipe dope is needed.
