A straight AN8 to M18 x 1.5 adapter. M18 x 1.5 is a large metric port thread and is most often found on sump drain plugs, oil cooler and filter housing bosses, coolant temperature and pressure sender ports and heavier hydraulic fittings on European-built components. Using this adapter you can take an ordinary AN8 braided line straight off one of those bulk ports, which is a common approach when adding an oil cooler, remote filter, or temperature and pressure sensing to an engine that was never plumbed for AN. The AN8 flare seals dry on its 37-degree cone. The M18 x 1.5 side is a straight metric thread that seals at the seat or face, not on the threads, so do not use PTFE tape. Verify the pitch on your port before ordering, as M18 is also produced in other pitches.
