A straight adapter joining an AN16 37-degree male flare to a 1″ NPT male pipe thread. Both ends are generously sized and reasonably well matched, which makes this the natural fitting where a 1″ pipe-tapped port on a tank, pump body, cooler header or fabricated manifold needs to carry a -16 AN hose. It is high-volume plumbing: dry sump scavenge, big oil cooler circuits, breather routing and serious fuel delivery. Apply a fluid-compatible sealant to the tapered NPT threads and tighten with care, as a 1″ pipe thread will readily split a thin alloy boss if wound in too hard. The AN flare requires no sealant.
