A straight adapter joining an AN12 37-degree male flare to a 1″ NPT male pipe thread. Both ends are large: -12 AN is the size reached for on dry sump scavenge, big oil cooler circuits, coolant transfer and serious fuel systems, and a 1″ NPT port is found on pump bodies, tank bungs, cooler headers and custom-fabricated manifolds. Together they give an essentially unrestricted path, which is the point when you are moving high volumes at modest pressure. Seal the tapered NPT threads with an appropriate sealant and be mindful that a 1″ pipe thread generates real hoop stress in a casting, so tighten with judgement. The AN flare seals dry.
