A boxed selection of PTFE sealing washers for adapter and banjo joints. PTFE is chemically inert, which makes these washers a sound choice on fuel systems, particularly those running ethanol or methanol blends where some other sealing materials degrade over time. Unlike a metal washer that relies on crushing into the surface, PTFE conforms readily to the sealing faces at modest torque, which is helpful on aluminium ports you do not want to over-tighten. Keeping an assortment to hand means a leaking joint can be resealed the same day rather than waiting on a single washer to arrive. Fit one either side of a banjo eye and renew whenever the joint is broken.
