A cushioned P clamp sized at 28.6mm inside diameter for AN16 hose. AN16 plumbing is used where volume matters, typically dry-sump scavenge and large oil cooler circuits, and hose that size is stiff, heavy and unforgiving of poor support. A cushioned clamp holds it against a solid mounting point while the internal cushion prevents the band edge from wearing through the cover and damps vibration that would otherwise transmit into the fittings. Place clamps either side of long unsupported spans and where the hose passes close to bodywork or a heat source. Size the clamp to the hose outside diameter rather than forcing a fit.
