A male-to-male reducer with AN12 on one end and AN8 on the other, both using the standard 37-degree AN flare. It suits fuel and oil systems built around an AN12 main line that must connect to pumps, coolers, filters or rails carrying AN8 ports. A two-size step is a reasonable compromise, keeping the fitting count down without the sharp restriction of a much larger reduction. Both ends are male, so they mate to female swivel hose ends or female couplers rather than directly to another male fitting. Seat the flares firmly but do not overtighten, and leave thread sealant out of it entirely, as an AN flare seals on the cone.
