A stainless inverted seat adapter joining an AN3 line to a 7/16-24 inverted flare thread. The fine 24 pitch distinguishes it from the more common 7/16-20, and the two are close enough in appearance to catch people out — worth confirming with a gauge before ordering, since a mismatched pitch damages the port. The inverted seat on the imperial side accepts the factory brake pipe flare against a female cone, which is what actually makes the joint seal; an AN male flare in the same position will not. On the other end, a standard AN3 connection takes braided hose, so the original hard lines need no modification. After fitting, bleed the system thoroughly and hold sustained pedal pressure while inspecting the joint for weeps before the vehicle is used.
