On AN12 plumbing a tight hose bend is simply not an option, so a fixed 120-degree end becomes the practical way to route suction, scavenge and cooler lines around a crowded engine bay. The bend happens in the machined body, leaving the hose to run in a sweeping curve that protects the PTFE liner. It seals on the usual olive compressed onto the liner by the nipple and remains a rebuildable, reusable fitting. Given the mass of large PTFE hose, support the run close to the fitting rather than letting it hang. Confirm the clocking against the actual routing before you make the hose up.
