A one-piece cutter-style hose end in AN12 with a 120-degree bend. The one-piece body keeps socket and nipple together, so assembly is simply a square cut, a firm push onto the nipple and tightening of the socket to swage the joint. The 120-degree angle matters most on large hose: AN12 braided line is stiff and has a generous minimum bend radius, so trying to achieve a doubled-back route by flexing the hose alone risks kinking and restriction. Taking the turn at the fitting instead keeps the hose relaxed. AN12 is used for dry sump scavenge, high-volume oil and breather plumbing and large fuel runs.
