A one-piece cutter-style hose end in AN16 with a 45-degree bend. The socket and nipple arrive as a single assembly, so building a hose means cutting the braid square, pushing it fully onto the nipple and tightening the socket to swage the joint. On AN16 hose, which is stiff and has a large minimum bend radius, a 45-degree fitting is often all the redirection you can sensibly ask for without a sharper elbow, and it keeps the flow path open. AN16 handles coolant and header tank plumbing, crankcase breather and vent lines, dry sump reservoir connections and large transfer runs.
