Motul Intake Clean is a 750ml aerosol aimed at the induction side of the engine, where oily carbon deposits build up over time. Crankcase breather vapour and, on many engines, exhaust gas recirculation deposit a sticky film through the throttle body, intake plenum and runners. That film narrows the airway, gums the throttle plate and upsets idle quality and part-throttle response. Cleaning the intake tract restores airflow and helps the engine management return to its expected fuelling. It is a useful service item on direct-injection engines in particular, where there is no fuel wash over the valves to keep them clean.
