Motul Classic Eighties 10W40 is aimed at a specific era rather than at a modern service schedule. Cars from the 1980s and 1990s were designed around oils with far higher zinc and phosphorus levels than current formulations carry, and the additive package here reflects that, which matters for cam and follower protection and for the older seal and gasket materials in those engines. The 10W40 grade covers the wide range of naturally aspirated, supercharged and turbocharged engines of the period. The 2 litre bottle makes it easy to make up an unusual sump capacity precisely. Note that high-zinc oils are not suitable for vehicles with catalytic converters, so check what your car is fitted with before using it.
