Motul Brake Clean is a 750ml aerosol solvent cleaner for stripping oil, grease, brake fluid residue and dust off braking components. It is the standard first step on any brake job: a wipe-down of new discs to remove the protective coating they ship with, a flush of caliper and hub faces before reassembly, and a clean-up of anything that has been handled. Because it evaporates quickly and leaves no residue, surfaces are ready to work on almost immediately, which also makes it handy for degreasing clutch components and general workshop parts. Work in a ventilated area, allow it to flash off fully before assembly, and keep it off painted panels, plastics and rubber bushes, which the solvent can attack.
