Motul Silicone Grease Spray is a 400ml aerosol for the jobs where an oil-based lubricant is the wrong answer. Silicone does not attack rubber or most plastics, so it is the correct product for door and boot weatherstrips, sunroof and window seals, plastic-on-plastic trim contact points, and O-rings during assembly. On seals it does two useful things at once: it stops the rubber sticking and tearing in cold weather, and it slows the drying and perishing that leads to wind noise and water leaks. It also leaves a water-repellent film on treated surfaces. Silicone contamination ruins paint adhesion, so keep it away from any panel due for refinishing, and off brake friction surfaces.
