An aluminium banjo bolt in M10 x 1.0, the fine-pitch metric thread widely used on Japanese and European brake and clutch hardware, with a 23mm length under the head. Take care to distinguish it from the coarser M10 x 1.25 and M10 x 1.5 threads also found in this application, as the wrong pitch will destroy the port. The bolt is drilled through and cross-drilled so fluid passes through into the banjo eye, allowing the fitting to be rotated to suit your hose routing before tightening. Alloy construction saves weight but demands sensible torque, and a sealing washer must go on both faces of the banjo eye every time it is assembled.
