A straight AN8 to M22 x 1.5 adapter, the largest metric thread in this series. M22 x 1.5 is a bulk port thread found on heavier oil filter and cooler housings, hydraulic pump and steering box ports, large drain bosses and some commercial and European industrial fittings. The point of this adapter is scale reduction: it lets you plumb a manageable AN8 braided hose off a port that was designed for a much larger fitting, without machining or welding anything. The AN8 side seals dry on its 37-degree flare cone. The M22 x 1.5 side is a straight metric thread and seals at the seat or port face rather than on the thread itself, so it should be fitted without PTFE tape. Because large metric ports vary in pitch, check yours against M22 x 1.5 before ordering.
