This is the extended-body version of the AN6 to 1/8″ NPT straight adapter. The longer body is the reason to choose it: where a 1/8″ pipe port sits down in a casting, behind a bracket or close to a manifold, a standard-length adapter leaves no room to get a spanner on the hose end, and the hose itself may foul on adjacent metalwork. The extra reach lifts the AN6 flare clear so the connection can be assembled, torqued and later serviced properly, and it eases the hose bend radius away from the port. Otherwise it functions identically: seal the tapered NPT thread with a fluid-compatible sealant and torque the 37-degree flare dry.
