A 180-degree AN16 cutter style hose end for rubber-lined braided hose. The cutter design bites into the hose liner as the socket draws up, providing the mechanical hold that a large-bore, heavy assembly requires. AN16 hose cannot be looped back on itself in any practical space, so a full U-turn end is the only sensible way to reverse a run at the port. It is used on dry sump tank and scavenge lines, coolant transfer and fuel cell suction. Assembly at this size takes real effort: support the fitting properly, lubricate the liner and threads well, and pressure-test the finished line.
