The screened version of the AN12 O-ring port fitting, pairing an AN12 male 37-degree flare on the hose side with an AN12 male O-ring port thread and a straining element that sits inside the casting. At AN12 it is aimed squarely at dry sump scavenge points, oil pan pick-ups and reservoir outlets, where a pump can be ruined by a piece of sealant, gasket or machining swarf finding its way into it. The larger screen area also keeps restriction sensible on high-volume circuits. The port seals on its O-ring against the boss face, so no sealant is needed. Clean the screen at regular oil changes.
