In AN6, the 120-degree PTFE hose end is most often used at fuel rails, regulators and surge tanks where the hose needs to turn hard and head back along the engine bay. Taking the bend inside the fitting keeps the hose itself from being forced into a tight radius, which is what causes PTFE liners to kink and flow to suffer. The end seals in the usual way, with an olive squeezed onto the liner by the nipple as the nut is drawn up, and can be rebuilt with a fresh olive. Note the tighter bend does add some restriction, so use it where the packaging demands it rather than by default.
