On AN12 plumbing there is effectively no scope for a tight bend in the hose, so a fixed 150-degree end is how you turn a large suction, scavenge or cooler line back on itself. The machined body takes the whole angle, leaving the PTFE hose to run in a gentle curve. It seals on an olive compressed onto the liner as the socket nut draws the nipple in, and remains a reusable, rebuildable fitting. Large PTFE hose is heavy, so clamp the run rather than letting the fitting carry it. Plan the bend direction against the actual routing first, and allow room for a large AN spanner.
